In a tweet on Friday, CSK posted a collage of two pictures – one showing Jadeja in his first season with the team and the other from last year’s edition of the Indian Premier League.

“10 Years of Super Jaddu #WhistlePodu #Yellove @imjadeja,” the picture was captioned.

“10 more to go,” Jadeja said in response.

Jadeja has been a member of the IPL since its inception, having played for the title-winning Rajasthan Royals in the 2008 season. After missing the 2010 season due to contractual issues, Jadeja was signed by the now-defunct Koch Tuskers for the 2011 season before joining CSK in 2012 for $2 million, the biggest offer in that auction.

Between 2016 and 2017, Jadeja played for Gujarat Lions during Chennai’s two-year ban from the IPL due to corruption accusations.

In 2018, he returned to Chennai and was retained as their first-choice player, ahead of captain MS Dhoni, for the tournament’s 15th season.

In total, Jadeja scored 2386 runs and took 127 wickets in 200 IPL matches. Jadeja scored 1324 runs in 88 innings for Chennai and took 100 wickets.

The ten teams have already retained 33 cricketers, who will now try to assemble a squad around the superstars.
