Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja put up an all-round masterclass in match 19 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, as he could do no wrong with the bat, ball or in the field. He top-scored with 62 runs off 28 balls in the CSK innings, also picked up three wickets in the RCB-innings, and caused a runout.

Jadeja’s spectacle did not end with his monumental effort with the bat in the first innings, which included a 37-run over to finish the CSK innings. In Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) innings, he gave them no respite as he picked up the wickets of AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, and Washington Sundar, which simply gave RCB no chance of coming back into the game.

Jadeja also sent RCB’s Dan Christian packing with his rocket-like throw that caused a direct hit and Christian was runout.

The match was in the balance until Jadeja’s knock with the bat. The innings handed CSK the momentum going into the second innings, and with Jadeja’s heroics on the field, with the ball, RCB found no room to make a comeback.
