Philadephia Eagles’ quarterback Jalen Hurts paid tribute to the city’s native Academy Award winner Will Smith before the Week 17 game vs the New Orleans Saints.

Check it out right here:

Hurts was doubtful to play against the Saints, but fans were breathing a sigh of relief seeing him walk into the stadium. Last week, he suffered an injury in the game against the Dallas Cowboys, which made him unavailable for tonight’s match despite him being back on Friday for practice. However, the 24-year-old is expected to play in the Week 18 match against the New York Giants.

Hurts is being widely considered the likely MVP of this season by Eagles fans. They are already anticipating a great return for Hurts in the new year:

One fan wrote on Twitter during the game, “If you said Jalen Hurts was a system QB that’s ok but admit you’ve never watched an Eagles game as well…”

Check out another fan reaction:

A third fan said, “If Jalen hurts doesn’t win mvp the award will have lost all its meaning. 😞😞😞 Its CLEAR that the eagles are FAR worse without him. If the superteam chiefs lost Mahomes they would be EVEN better🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ This is coming from a cowboys fan btw..”
