Tonight’s game marks Devin’s 200th start with the Patriots. With this game, he achieved some records for himself. He became the 90th player in NFL history to start in 200 games. McCourty is the 24th player in the league’s history to start 200 games for a single team.

In addition, Devin McCourty will become just the sixth player in Patriots franchise history to play in 200 games, trailing only Stephen Gostkowski (204) Matthew Slater (214), Bruce Armstrong (212), Julius Adams (206). Former QB Tom Brady has started the most games for the home team with 285 starts in 20 seasons.

McCourty has played for the team in 223 total games over the course of his career (199 regular seasons and 24 playoffs). He has won three Super Bowls, been selected for two Pro Bowls, three All-Pro teams, and the Patriots’ Team of the 2010s, among other honors.

The 35-year-old has started all 11 games so far in the 2022 season, totaling 53 tackles (41 solos), five passes-defended, and two interceptions.

On the other hand, Jason currently works for the NFL Network as a new Good Morning Football team joining. With his brother Devin, McCourty co-hosts the podcast “Double Coverage with the McCourty Twins.”

He was a former cornerback who spent 13 seasons in the league with four different teams, most recently the Miami Dolphins in 2021. His previous teams included the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots, and others.

He won the 2018 Super Bowl with his brother against the Los Angeles Rams. The now-retired player stopped a touchdown attempt in the game by intercepting a pass intended for Rams receiver Brandin Cooks in the end zone. Bill Belichick, the head coach of the Patriots, described the play as “huge” after the game.
