Trae Young shined in Atlanta Hawks’ 130-122 win over the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of the NBA Playoffs on Friday. Fans trolled Jayson Tatum for his poor show in the second-half.

The two sides locked horns at the State Farm Arena. Boston leads the series 2-1.

Trae Young was on fire. The 24-year-old scored 32 points and was aided by Dejounte Murray’s 25 to guide the Hawks to their first win in the NBA first-round playoff series.

With 2:21 left on the clock, Young hit a step-back 3-pointer from the corner. He then scored another stunner with 45 seconds left after Jaylen Brown missed a chance that would’ve tied it for the Celtics.

Trae Young made 14 out of 40 shots in Game 2. He was down. But the Atlanta star bounced back in the third game and connected 12 of his 22 attempts along with nine assists. Murray’s 25 points included a 3-pointer with 1:40 left on the clock.

“I just needed to make the right plays. Our whole team was making plays all night and it was up to me to go make the right one. It’s not only to score, sometimes its to get everybody involved. So I’m just trying to make the right play and tonight I did,” Young said after the game.

His Boston counterpart Jayson Tatum started off well but couldn’t keep up with the stress in the fourth quarter. He missed key shots. The 25-year-old, however, finished the game with 29 points.

Tatum was trolled on social media.

“I’m biased but I think this might be true. Tatum is very inconsistent when book is consistent, clutch and very good on the defensive side,” a Twitter user said.

“Tatum is the worst ‘all-star’ ever, and in no way, shape, or form is he a superstar 😅” another one added.

The Celtics star took the blame of the team’s loss.

“This one tonight is on me. I know I get a lot of credit when we win and I take the blame when we lose. Rightfully so,” he said.
