The Cincinnati Bengals, led by quarterback Joe Burrow, have been recognized as one of the formidable opponents for the Buffalo Bills in the conference. It’s crucial to note, though, that neither club wants to gain an advantage by hurting its rivals.

Clubs like the Buffalo Bills and the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs may gain an advantage over the Bengals if Burrow were to miss some time at the beginning of the season due to a calf issue.

The quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, suffered a non-contact injury to his right leg while rolling to his right during an 11-on-11 exercise during the training camp. He was spotted hobbling as a result of the injury, and he was carried off the field on a cart. In Cincinnati, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor spoke with the media and revealed that Burrow had sustained a right calf injury.

Before this, Joe Burrow, the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, experienced a huge setback when he sustained a devastating left knee injury during his first season. He specifically missed the final four games of the season because he tore both the MCL (medial collateral ligament) and ACL (anterior cruciate ligament).

Despite having a difficult start to his NFL career, Burrow has shown amazing fortitude and tenacity. Except for two meaningless games in the final week, he has started nearly all of the Cincinnati Bengals’ games since coming back from his injury.

Burrow won the prestigious NFL Recovery Player of the Year award in 2021 for his outstanding play throughout his recovery, and he further cemented his position as the league’s best player by being invited to the Pro Bowl in 2022.
