Joe Mixon’s house was taped off by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies on Tuesday. Deputies responded to reports of shots fired late Monday night, Fox 19 Now reported.

However, no arrests were made and the Cincinnati Bengals running back’s involvement in the incident is not known.

The shooting in Anderson Township, an area about 13 miles southeast of downtown Cincinnati, was reported around 8:30 PM on Monday. Fox 19 Now reported that a juvenile was taken to a hospital with “minor injuries.”

Mixon’s sister Shalonda said that he was not involved in the shooting, WLWT News 5 reported.

John and Alise have six children.

The Cincinnati player has two sisters – Tracie Chavon Mixon (b. February 14, 1987), Shalonda Lala Mixon (b. August 23, 1988) and Shanice (b. September 23, 1992). He also has a brother named  John.

Joe Mixon is set to go into the third year of his four-year, $48 million contract with the Bengals. He was earlier this year accused of pointing a gun at a woman in Cincinnati. An arrest warrant was issued against him.

“You should be popped in the face. I should shoot you now,” Mixon allegedly told the woman. “The police can’t get me.”

The player’s agent, Peter Schaffer, spoke to NFL Network about the charges.

“It was a rush to judgment. They’re dropping the charges first thing in the morning. I really feel that police have an obligation before they file charges — because of the damage that can be done to the person’s reputation — to do their work. They should be held to a higher standard. Because I don’t play with people’s lives,” he said.
