Deebo Samuel, wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers, scored his career’s longest rushing touchdown on Monday. The 26-year-old went for 39 yards against the Arizona Cardinals in the NFL 2022 Mexico game.
49ers General Manager John Lynch, who was watching the game, celebrated the WR’s touchdown with enthusiasm.

This is the final game as part of this year’s NFL International series. Three games were played in London while one was played at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany between the Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Fans have been excited about the game ever since it was announced in May 2022.
A lot of celebrities were attendees at the game. World-famous boxer Canelo Alvarez met players of the teams prior to the game. he also took part in singing the National Anthem that was sung by Mexican musician Sofia Reyes.
Grupo Firme performed at half-time of the game. Their performance was booed by the crowd present at the stadium.
Talking to 49ers.com, Lynch said about the fanbase of the team in Mexico, “I think the Niners have a very strong fanbase there. We have a lot of players and people in our organization that are very excited.”
Who is John Lynch?
John Lynch is a former National Football League strong safety who played from 1993 to 2008. He attended Stanford University before being drafted in the third round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Lynch, a nine-time Pro Bowler, won a Super Bowl ring with the Buccaneers in Super Bowl XXXVII. In 2021, Lynch will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He also played for the Denver Broncos for four seasons before retiring in 2008. Lynch worked as a color commentator for NFL on Fox games after his playing career ended, and he did so until he was hired as the 49ers’ general manager in 2017.
