Borussia Dortmund starlet Jude Bellingham has slowly become European football’s most sought-after commodity following the summer of 2022. The English international is attracting interest from elite European clubs, including Real Madrid, who want to secure his signature as soon as they can. However, if recent performances are anything to go by, he will not come cheap for any club.
Bellingham registered three goals and eight assists in 32 matches for Dortmund last season, however, what was impressive about his performance was his authority in the midfield. In the 2,794 minutes he played in the 2021-22 Bundesliga season, he registered 84% passing accuracy, 58% take-on success, and completed 53% and 42% of his total ground and aerial duels. Let’s take a look at three clubs that are the frontrunners to sign him.

Manchester United
The Manchester giants are a long-time admirer of Bellingham, who joined Dortmund in the 2020 summer transfer window. After a disastrous 21-22 season, the Red Devils have appointed Erik ten Hag as the head coach and have parted ways with several key players, including Paul Pogba and many more are rumoured to follow.
Manchester United was in the market for Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong, a box-to-box midfielder, but was unsuccessful. They are still looking to add a no.8 and a move for Bellingham, whose primary position is of a box-to-box midfielder, could do wonders for them.
Liverpool
The Reds have been struggling with injuries and a lack of quality in the midfield has already destabilised their season. While manager Jurgen Klopp did not stress the need for midfield reinforcements, they went on to sign Arthur on loan from Juventus, but are expected to sign another midfielder in the summer.
Versatility is one of the biggest qualities of Bellingham, which can also play down the channels if the need arises. Liverpool is one of the biggest admirers of Jude Bellingham and a move for them could be on the cards next summer.

It is the World Cup year and Madrid is known widely for their hyperactivity following the mega event. If Bellingham can manage to excel in Qatar, chances are the Spanish champions will sign him as soon as possible.
