Kansas City Chiefs‘ tight end Travis Kelce scored three second-half touchdowns and four overall to give the Chiefs a 30-23 lead over the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night. The game is played at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas.

He also became the league leader in receiving touchdowns with seven. He had just three prior to the game.

His fourth receiving TD helped the team to outscore their opposition, 30-16 since the second quarter. With this, he broke several records such as:

1) MNF record for most touchdown passes received,

2) Most touchdowns received by a tight end in a single game and

3) His career-best performance in a game.

Chiefs were trailing 10-20 to begin the third quarter, but a four-yard pass that Kelce took to the endzone helped the team close down the gap to 16-20.

The Chiefs were down two touchdown scores when this play happened. Mahomes’ team was near the Las Vegas one-yard line in the third and goal position during the 11th-minute mark of the second quarter. He threw an over-the-middle pass to Kelce who was unsuccessfully chased by the opposition’s safety Tre’von Moehrig.

The KC quarterback is now at the top spot in terms of most passing TDs thrown this season with 15.

Travis Kelce also has a rushing touchdown under his name as well, when he scored in a surprise loss against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3. 

Earlier in the game, wide receiver Davante Adams opened the scoring for Las Vegas Raiders when he caught a 58-yard long pass from QB Derek Carr and ran into Chiefs’ endzone in the first quarter. The team then increased their lead courtesy of a one-yard rushing TD from running back Josh Jacobs. 

Just before half-time, Chiefs punter Matthew Wright scored a 59-yard field goal to make the game 20-10. He had earlier missed a 41-yard FG attempt in the first quarter.
