Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman scored the opening touchdown of his side’s Week 9 game of the 2022 NFL season against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. The touchdown helped extend the Chiefs’ lead to 9-0 after the endzone play. The game was being played at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas.
The hosts were positioned at the Tennessee 10-yard line and required five yards to go for the first down. But instead, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw a sidearm to Hardman, who dodged Titans’ cornerback Roger McCreary and ran into the endzone before being pushed to the ground by another CB Lonnie Johnson Jr.

This was Hardman’s fourth receiving touchdown of the season. Along with this, he has also registered two rushing touchdowns to his name this season so far.
Kansas City Chiefs have been one of the top offensive units this year as well as they have been consistently raking up points against their oppositions, being 10th in total passing yards while securing the top spot in total passing TDs.

The team is also tied with 28 on the second spot with the Cincinnati Bengals in total touchdowns for the season.
Chiefs have lost just two of their last six games and their only home loss so far this year came against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6. The two defeats were by a combined score of seven points while their biggest win of the season was of 23 points (in Week 1 when they clashed with Arizona Cardinals).
The Chiefs are currently in the top spot of the AFC West division, ahead of Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders.
A win on Sunday against the Titans would definitely help them in winning the division before the end of the regular season, even though they have a mixed schedule ahead of them.
