Kieron Pollard, Mumbai Indians (MI) talisman, scored the fastest fifty of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, It came off 17 balls against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in match 27 of the season. Pollard walked in at number five on MI innings when the total was 81-3 in the tenth over while chasing a target of 219. He bettered the record that was set by Delhi Capitals batsman Prithvi Shaw earlier this week which was scored in 18 balls.

Pollard also picked up two wickets in CSK innings of Faf du Plessis and Suresh Raina. In the CSK innings, Ambati Rayudu top-scored with 72 runs off 27 balls and was well supported by Moeen Ali and du Plessis who scored 58 and 50 runs respectively. MI%u2019s chase was brought back to the track, thanks to Pollard%u2019s blistering knock.
