The England cricket team will face off with
the New Zealand cricket team in the first semi final of the ICC T20 World Cup. United
Arab Emirates will be hosting the showdown at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in the
national capital Abu Dhabi.

India finish T20 World Cup on a high, thrash Namibia

The Kiwis will be looking to take revenge following
a heart-breaking loss to England in the 2019 World Cup final.  They have been in good form, having won four
of their matches in the group stage with their only loss coming against Babar
Azam’s Pakistan.

Abu Dhabi’s batting friendly pitch paves
the way for a high scoring spectacle even with bowlers like Ish Sodhi, Tim
Southee and Adil Rashid on the pitch.

Their bowling attack has been doing wonders
with Trent Boult the standout performer. The pacer has eleven wickets to his
name from five matches with an economy of 5.84 and if he puts in a similar
performance tomorrow then the English will be in trouble.

Performed really well as a team: Virat Kohli’s last words as India T20 captain

The English men led by Eoin Morgan have
been in fine form themselves, boasting of an equally impressive record of four
wins in the group stage. The only game they lost came against South Africa in a
nail-biting encounter.

Most of the batters have gotten enough time
in the middle to get used to the pitches and have looked to be in good form every
time they have set foot on the pitch. While Jason Roy and Jos Buttler were arguably
the best opening pairing of the tournament, the former’s injury will leave a big
hole in England’s batting line up.

As for their bowling attack, Tymal Mills
has been ruled out with a thigh injury while Mark Wood proved to be expensive
against South Africa.
