A video of KL Rahul facing the Indian women’s side’s bowling legend Jhulan Goswami in the nets of the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru is going viral on social media. Goswami is seen bowling a fuller-length delivery on the stumps to the batter. The ball is followed by a short ball outside off stump.

KL Rahul is back practicing post the surgery for his sports hernia in Germany. The right-handed batter in the video is seen playing both the deliveries with perfection as he hits a cover drive off the first ball and cuts the second ball from the back foot on the off side. 

Rahul led Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League. Under his captaincy, Lucknow Super Giants reached Qualifier 2 of IPL 2022. They lost to Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets in Qualifier 2.

KL Rahul was supposed to lead the five-match series against South Africa, in the absence of Rohit Sharma in June this year. A groin injury forced him to pull out of the series. KL Rahul was last seen playing the IPL. He would also be part of the T20I squad on the tour to the West Indies. The decision regarding his inclusion is subject to his fitness. India’s T20I series in the Caribbean kicks off on July 29.

While Rahul is at NCA after his surgery, Goswami is practising there as she would not play Commonwealth Games as she retired from the T20I format. Jhulan Goswami was last seen playing in the ICCI Women’s World Cup.
