Lamar Jackson could be seen sitting in a car as he recorded the video. He raised up a football with a Baltimore Ravens logo on it.

“Let’s get it. For the last few months, there’s been a lot of he said, she said. A lot of nailbiting. A lot of head-scratching going on. Now for the next five years, there’s a lot of flock going on. Let’s go. Can’t wait to get there, can’t wait to be there. Can’t wait to light up M&T (Bank Stadium) for the next five years,” the quarterback said.

Jackson’s announcement comes days after Super Bowl-winning wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr signed a deal with the Ravens. With OBJ and Lamar, the franchise looks strong on the offense.

The Lamar Jackson contract saga started days after Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl 2023. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback made an announcement that he had requested a trade. The 26-year-old said that he was unhappy with the negotiations.

The franchise then placed him under the non-exclusive tag. They however kept pursuing Jackson. Many fans saw the OBJ deal as a big incentive for the QB to stay.

Lamar announced his deal hours before the NFL Draft. The financial details of the contract have not been revealed yet.

Ian Rapport said that Jackson has signed a 5-year, $260M with the Ravens.
