The Baltimore Ravens announced that tight end Mark Andrews would not be playing against the New Orleans Saints owing to his right shoulder injury that he suffered against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8.

During the match that the Ravens won, he was forced to leave the field due to the injury. He was also dealing with a knee injury prior to it. Even with extra days to recover, the player was not ready and did not travel with the team to New Orleans.

Baltimore already needs to replace Rashod Bateman in the offense in addition to missing Andrews. The wide receiver decided to have surgery on his injured foot, which will cause him to miss the remainder of the season.

Aside from quarterback Lamar Jackson, the tight end is arguably Baltimore’s most important offensive player. He currently leads the team with 42 catches, 488 receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns (five). after a season in the All-Pro last year.

A user tweeted, before the game started, that ‘Lamar Jackson is not a very accurate passer and without his security blanket in TE Mark Andrews he is even worse!

QB Jackson was one of the leading candidates for the NFL MVP honors going into this season, along with Philadelphia Eagles’ Jalen Hurts, Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and Los Angeles Chargers.

The player has led the team to a 5-3 record but also suffered big defeats at the hands of the New York Giants, Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins which have definitely hurt the player’s chances of recapturing a title he won in 2019, more importantly winning it unanimously.
