A Las Vegas Raiders fan held out a ‘We Deserve Better’ poster during the team’s Week 18 match against the Kansas City Chiefs at the Allegiant Stadium on Saturday. 

The Raiders struggled in the first half of the game, handing a comfortable 24-3 lead to Patrick Mahomes and co at half-time. Fans were frustrated.

The Kansas City Chiefs are doing their part to ensure the number one in the AFC. Mahomes is 14 of 17 for 175 yards in the first half while rushing for 16 yards, giving him the most total yards in a season in NFL history. He surpassed Drew Brees for the all-time mark, Brees had 5,562 in 2011. Travis Kelce is also 96 yards short of breaking his own single-season receiving yards record for tight ends at 1,416. He has three catches for 21 yards in the first half.

The Raiders have some milestones to play for, as Josh Jacobs can become the first Raiders player to win the league rushing title since Marcus Allen in 1985. Davante Adams is 11 catches short of breaking the franchise receptions record and two receiving touchdowns shy of tying the franchise receiving touchdowns record. In the first half, Adams has two catches for 21 yards while Jacobs has 10 carries for 20 yards.

The Chiefs have dominated the annual two-game series since Andy Reid arrived in the squad in 2013, going 16-3 against the Raiders. They scored on its first drive of the fourth quarter on a run, then a catch, from running back Isiah Pacheco. The extra point went through. The Raiders then went on a good drive and scored a touchdown with a pass to Hunter Renfrow.
