During Thursday night’s game against the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers’ tight end Luke Musgrave was forced to exit the game to undergo evaluation for a possible concussion. This unfortunate development occurred late in the second quarter of the Thursday Night Football matchup. Up to that point, Musgrave had made one reception, gaining just a single yard.
Notably, despite being a rookie, Luke Musgrave had quickly established himself as a significant target within the Green Bay Packers’ passing game. Prior to this game, he had accumulated impressive stats, making 11 catches for a total of 124 yards. These numbers ranked him third among all Packers’ pass catchers, highlighting his growing importance in the offensive scheme.
Josiah Deguara is the only other tight end on the Green Bay roster who has caught passes this season, contributing two receptions for a mere five yards leading up to the Thursday night matchup. However, during the game, Deguara added to his stats with two catches for 19 yards on the Packers’ final drive before halftime, filling in for the injured Musgrave.

Considering Musgrave’s potential concussion evaluation, it is highly likely that he will be sidelined for Week 5 of the NFL season. For fantasy football managers who had been relying on him, it will be essential to explore waiver wire options to find a suitable replacement for their lineups. This situation emphasizes the unpredictable nature of the sport and the need for fantasy managers to stay agile and adapt to changes in player availability throughout the season.
