In the match between the Bills and the Bengals, the latter’s Tee Higgins had collided with Hamlin at the Paul Brown Stadium that led to him losing consciousness. He was immediately given CPR and resuscitated on the field.
An ambulance was later brought in to take Hamlin away to a hospital. One of his uncles later told CNN that Hamlin had to be resuscitated in the hospital as well.
Bart Scott, an ESPN analyst, was slammed on social media when he blamed Higgins for Hamlin’s condition. Football fans on Twitter pointed out that injuries happen in games and it was not Higgins’ intention to injure Hamlin.
