The Miami Dolphins displayed a commanding effort in their Sunday Week 3 showdown against the Denver Broncos. De’Von Achane’s touchdown run in the middle of the fourth quarter gave the Dolphins a commanding 70-20 win, underscoring their dominant offensive performance at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

The last time an NFL team scored 70 points in a game was the Washington Commanders in 1966, who thrashed the New York Giants 72-41. Additionally, this holds the NFL record for the most points scored in a game during the regular season.

The Dolphins set a new record by scoring a total of 70 points in a single game, breaking the old high of 55 points from 1976. It’s important to note that this accomplishment tops even the times when Dan Marino or Larry Csonka wreaked havoc on rival defenses with their offensive skills.

Both Raheem Mostert and Devon Achane put in outstanding outings, scoring four touchdowns combined. And that was only the start. Tua Tagovailoa displayed his talent with over 300 yards and four touchdowns, while Tyreek Hill dominated with 157 yards and the game’s first touchdown. Achane amassed over 200 yards rushing.

Under Mike McDaniel’s direction, the Dolphins’ offense appeared unstoppable and carried them to a convincing victory.

The Dolphins have shown a remarkable ability to mobilize their quick-thinking defense around the football this season. With thoughtful, well-timed blitzes, they have successfully harassed passers, and their offense has done a great job of protecting their quarterback.

Tyreek Hill, a renowned All-Pro talent, has been playing like a hidden treasure in McDaniel’s system. Given his famed speed, he frequently finds himself wide open and alone in the field, something even the opposing sideline finds startling. Additionally, McDaniel’s plan provides Hill with a ton of chances to go past man coverage.

Miami has combined all of these advantages and skills into a powerful statement. This resounding achievement has quieted concerns over injuries to key players like Jalen Ramsey, Jaylen Waddle, and Salvon Ahmed.
