Morocco has produced a wonderful run in the tournament becoming the first African nation to reach a FIFA World Cup semi-final. On their way to the semis, they have beaten giants like Belgium, Spain and Portugal.

“Morocco fans make their games hard to watch. Stop booing the opponents. It’s not sportsmanship,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Yes, Morocco have played their way into our hearts etc etc, but their fans have not. The constant booing whenever Morocco aren’t on the ball is worse than vuvuzelas,” another wrote after the semi-final loss against France

“Unpopular opinion: but I can’t stand that constant booing and whistling from the Morocco fans everytime the opponents have the ball,” La Liga journalist Alexandra Jonson wrote on Twitter.

“I’ve seen two clips of the France Morocco game on twitter and all I remember of it is how the whole stadium is whistling and booing when France has possession lol football fans prove once again they are manchildren,” another fan wrote after the France match.

“I absolutely hate the fact the Morocco fans always whistle whenever their opponents have the ball. It’s like having a conversation and booing whenever the other person speaks. It’s why I wanted them to lose to Portugal and one of the reason I want them to lose tonight,” wrote another fan.

“It would be hypocritical to call out England fans for booing opposition anthems and not do the same with Morocco to France,” sports journalist Sam Street wrote.
