NBA outfit Chicago Bulls are finalizing a
sign-and-trade deal to acquire San Antonio Spurs forward DeMar DeRozan,
according to reports emerging in the United States.

DeRozan is going to sign a three-year, $85 million contract with
the Bulls after Friday when the NBA’s free-agency moratorium is lifted. The
Spurs will get forwards Thaddeus Young and Al-Farouq Aminu from the Bulls as
well as a future first-round pick in the trade deal, ESPN report said.

The Bulls can only trade a first-round pick in
either 2025 or 2026 due to the Nikola Vucevic trade in March. It all depends on
whether the Bulls send the 2023 pick (top four protected) or 2024 pick (top 3
protected) to the Orlando Magic to complete that prior deal.

The Bulls will also be sending the Spurs a
second-round pick in 2022 via the Lakers as well as the team owns 2025
second-round pick, according to the ESPN report.

Over the past day, the Bulls roster has been transformed
by acquiring DeRozan and guards Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso while offloading
guard Tomas Satoransky, Young, and Aminu in an attempt to get back to the
playoffs for the first time in five seasons.

In his three seasons with the Spurs, DeRozan
posted the three highest assist totals of his career. He likely will be asked
to continue that role as a ball-handler and creator with the Bulls next to Ball
and Zach LaVine in half-court offensive sets, ESPN reported.

Both Young and Aminu are on expiring contracts.
