Head coach Robert Saleh announced that Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers will make a restricted comeback to practice on Wednesday, initiating a 21-day practice window.
HC Robert Saleh clarified, “This is more of a progression in his rehab than it is getting ready to play.” “As far as certain drills and individual work go, Aaron’s practice schedule is exactly the same as it would be on [a side field]. He’ll be throwing to teammates rather than staff members. It carries no additional danger. We will permit him to do the activities for which he has received clearance.”

Following 18 seasons with the Packers, Rodgers signed a contract with the Jets in late April. On September 11, four snaps into the season, he ruptured his left Achilles tendon at MetLife Stadium against the Bills. Leonard Floyd, a Buffalo pass rusher, sacked him, resulting in the injury. For a moment Rodgers was on his feet, then back on the ground.
After the news of his potential return made the headlines several X users reacted to it. One user wrote, “What Aaron Rodgers and the jets are doing right now is so fcking risky man, doesnt even make sense”

“New York had the dumb law that was preventing Kyrie Irving from playing in home games while he wasn’t vaccinated. That’s why it was a bigger story than Aaron Rodgers not being vaccinated. Much larger on-court/field impact. Blame Andrew Cuomo for the gap in coverage.” another user wrote.
One user wrote, “Can’t wait for Aaron Rodgers to come back. NFL season just ain’t the same without being able to root for his downfall”
