The Brazilian superstar set social media on fire after he emulated NBA superstar Stephen Curry’s iconic ‘Night Night’ celebration after scoring his second goal of the match. The celebration was first unveiled by the Golden State Warriors‘ point guard after the team got the better of the Boston Celtics in the 2022 NBA final.

Notably, Neymar and Curry have met on a number of occasions and the two icons of their respective games share a mutual respect. A fan of these sporting greats posted a couple of pictures of them on Twitter:

Neymar is not the first athlete to have emulated Curry. Earlier, WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu also did the celebration after her brilliant dagger three against Atlanta Dream. Curry took to Twitter to congratulate Ionescu:

Another WNBA star, Skylar Diggins-Smith, and MLB player, Andrew McCutchen, had also performed the celebration.

Notably, Curry was not the inventor of this celebration, which was earlier done by Manchester United Star Marcus Rashford and pro-wrestler CM Punk. However, it was Curry’s superstardom that propelled the “Night Night” celebration into the limelight.

Curry will be seen in action once again in the pre-season matches that begin on September 30. The Warriors will take on Washington Wizards in their first match. Neymar, on the other hand, will take to the field in PSG’s third league match against Lille on August 22.
