NFL’s 2022 pre-season games have been plagued with injuries. While most of them happened on the field, Washington Commander’s rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr. was shot during an attempted carjacking.

As teams are set to open week 1 of this year’s season, here is a look at all the injuries that may change a franchise’s path to the Superbowl:

Tyrod Taylor: New York Giants backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor was carted from the sideline Sunday after injuring his back in the annual preseason game against the rival New York Jets, but coach Brian Daboll didn’t think he was seriously hurt.

The 33-year-old Taylor was hit by Jets rookie defensive lineman Micheal Clemons shortly after completing a 25-yard pass to rookie tight end Daniel Bellinger.

Chris Odom: Cleveland Browns defensive end Chris Odom suffered a season-ending knee injury in Saturday night’s exhibition loss to the Chicago Bears. Coach Kevin Stefanski said the 27-year-old Odom tore his left anterior cruciate ligament in the fourth quarter.

Brian Robinson Jr.: The Washington Commanders rookie running back was shot during an attempted robbery. Even though the injuries were non-fatal, Brian Robinson Jr’s chances of returning to the field are dim.

The 23-year-old former Alabama player was taken to a hospital with what the team called non-life-threatening injuries. The team said in statement staff members were with Robinson at the hospital.

Diontae Johnson: Pittsburg Steelers’ star Wide receiver was hauling in a 38-yard reception from Mitch Trubisky in the recent pre-season game. A tackle from an opposing defender forced Johnson to awkwardly land on his left shoulder. It is not clear if he would be able to play in the opening weeks of the regular season.

Matthew Stafford: The Superbowl-winning quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams has been suffering from an elbow injury. However, he has been undeterred and has been active through the preseason games against Cincinnati Bengals.
