Against the Cardinals, Eagles made a fourth quarter comeback. Led by quarterback Jalen Hurts, they picked their way down the field to set up Jake Elliott’s 23-yard field goal to cap a 17-play. Hurts twice kept the drive alive following big pushes by the Eagles’ offensive line on third-and-1.

Hurts made 26-of-36 passes for 239 yards.

What has worked for Philadelphia?

Two wide receiever off-season acquisitions – AJ Brown and Devonta Smith – paid off for the Eagles.

Brown, a top-tier WR, had a rare poor game against the Week 5 game against the Cardinals. He caught three of seven catches for 32 yards. The 25-year-old was one of their top-performers in the first four weeks.

In the 2022 season, Brown has 25 out of 38 catches. He has rused for 404 yards and scored a touchdown.

Sophomore Devonta Smith caught a career-high of 10 passes for 87 yards against the Cardinals. He has scored more than 41 fantasy points. The 23-year-old has taken 18 out of 27 passes for 226 yards and scored one touchdown.

Tightend Dallas Goedert is a key part of Philadelphia’s attacking trio. He has so far partnered with Smith and AJ Brown to give his team some points at crucial situations. He has caught 16 off 20 passes for 240 yards and one touchdown.

Like AJ Brown, running back Miles Sanders had an underwhelming game on Sunday. He carried the ball 15 times for 58 yards and added two receptions on three targets for six yards. This is the 25-year-old’s second-lowest yards per carry total of the season.

However, Sanders’ first four weeks have been brilliant. He has rushed for 356 yards.

Jalen Hurts completed 27 of 36 passes for 239 yards against Arizona. He ran for 61 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. The 24-year-old has become one of the top dual threat quarterbacks this season. He has 1120 passing yards against his name for four touchdowns.

Hurts has also rushed for 205 yards and managed to score four TDs. Fantasy points wise, the Philly star is the third best QB this season – behind Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen.

The Philadelphia vs Arizona came down to the wire. Kyler Murray managed to set up the Arizona Cardinals for a tying field goal, perhaps even the winning touchdown.

It all fell apart with a short slide, a third-down spike and a missed kick, pushing Arizona to its longest home losing streak in 64 years.

This was not the first time, the Eagles managed to suffocate their opponent’s offense. Their defense, with 16 sacks and five interceptions, is the best one this season. They have managed to hold the Minnesota Vikings and the Washington Commanders to under 10 points

Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday.
