The Los Angeles Chargers beat the Denver Broncos 19-16 in overtime on Monday Night Football in Week 6 of the 2022 NFL season on October 17. While the Chargers began the game underwhelmingly, they managed to make a comeback, which was completed when kicker Dustin Hopkins converted his fourth field goal in the game in overtime, essentially winning the game.

However, while Hopkins turned into the star of the night, quarterback Justin Herbert struggled in the game as he failed to deliver any passing touchdowns against the Denver Broncos.

It was the second time in the 2022 NFL season that a player threw at least 57 passes but did not register a single touchdown. The only other time this happened in the ongoing season was when Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray threw 58 passes against the Los Angeles Rams on September 26, without a single touchdown.

While it has happened twice this season already within the first six weeks, a similar incident did not take place in the NFL in the last 17 years.
