New Orleans Saints Tight end Taysom Hill made headlines on October 20 during the Thursday Night Football game against the Arizona Cardinals. The 32-year-old was one of the best players on the field for the visitors as he registered his first touchdown reception since the 2020 season.

Hill’s 3-yard touchdown reception was also his first as a tight end for the New Orleans Saints. The touchdown came in the second quarter of the game with little more than 10 minutes on the clock for the first half, when he made a reception from quarterback Andy Dalton near the goal line.

The reception helped the New Orleans Saints to take a 14-6 lead over the hosts. However, the visitors could not hold onto their lead in the first half as two consecutive pick-sixes by Dalton helped the Cardinals to score 22 points in under two minutes.

However, the touchdown by Hill was also his seventh in the 2022 NFL season. He also scripted another record earlier this season, when he scored four touchdowns against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 6.

Following Hill’s touchdown against the Cardinals, he registered 1 reception for 3 yards, 1 touchdown, 2 carries for 6 yards and was 1/1 passing for 7 yards. He had one reception for 2 yards in 5 games ahead of the game.

He has recorded 35 receptions out of 48 targets for 390 yards, 7 receiving touchdowns, 22 first downs, 247 carries for 1,450 yards, 21 rushing touchdowns and 14 fumbles in his career so far.
