The 2022 NFL season resumed with the Kansas City Chiefs scripting a comeback victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chiefs trailed for the majority of the game before they outscored the Chargers in the final quarter and clinched the victory. In other games, the San Francisco 49ers beat arch-rivals Seattle Seahawks 27-7 at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday.

Quarterbacks displayed a spectacular performance in week 2 of the 2022 NFL season. From Lamar Jackson to Joe Flacco, the quarterbacks showed good performances in their respective matches this week.

Let’s take a look at the top quarterbacks in week 2. 

Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens)

While the Baltimore Ravens were beaten 38-42 by the Miami Dolphins, Lamar Jackson was instrumental for his side in the game. He made 21 out of 29 successful passes for 318 yards and registered three touchdown passes. The 25-year-old also recorded 9 carries in 119 yards and made 1 rushing touchdown. He also made a fumble in the game. 

Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins)

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa put up a memorable performance in the week 2 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. The 24-year-old made 36 successful passes out of 50 attempts in 469 yards, along with 6 touchdown passes and 2 interceptions. He was also sacked 1 time and made 1 carry. 

Carson Wentz (Washington Commanders)

The Washington Commanders were beaten 36-27 by the Detroit Lions in week 2. However, their quarterback Carson Wentz put up an inspiring performance on Sunday. Wentz completed 30 of 46 passes for 337 yards and 1 touchdown pass. He also recorded 1 interception, 5 sacks, 2 carries in 23 yards and 1 fumble.

Joe Flacco (New York Jets)

In what came as a shock to many, the New York Jets beat the Cleveland Browns 30-31 on Sunday in week 2 of the 2022 NFL season. Quarterback Joe Flacco was one of the standout performers of the game as he completed 26 passes out of 44 attempts for 307 yards and 4 touchdown passes. He also recorded a 59% passing accuracy, 2 sacks, 2 carries and 1 fumble.

Jared Goff (Detroit Lions)

Goff, 27, was one of the most crucial players in the Lions’ victory over the Washington Commanders. Goff completed 20 out of 34 passes for 256 yards and 4 touchdown passes. He had a passing accuracy of 59% and registered 2 carries and 3 sacks in the game.

Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills)

Allen was phenomenal for a second straight game in the 2022 NFL season as the Bills took the Tennessee Titans to the cleaners defeating them 41-7. Allen had four passing touchdowns in the game to go with 317 passing yards.

Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles)

Jalen Hurts had a good game against the Minnesota Vikings as he led his side to a 24-7 victory. Hurts recorded a touchdown and an interception and completed 26 out his 31 passes for 333 yards.
