The National Football League had three games on Thanksgiving Day 2022. There were contrasting results for the two usual teams that participate in the occasion. While the Detroit Lions lost at home to Super Bowl contenders, Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys were able to secure a comfortable win and secure a 2-0 record for the season against their division rivals, New York Giants.
In the final game of the night, Kirk Cousins and Minnesota Vikings were victorious against the New England Patriots.
There were some sensational performances from the league’s top running backs. Las Vegas Raiders’ Josh Jacobs had a record-breaking night against the Seattle Seahawks in the overtime victory on the night.

Let’s look at the top running back performances from Week 12:
1) Josh Jacobs (Las Vegas Raiders)
Jacobs set franchise single-game records for total yards (303) and rushing yards. (229). He also became only the fourth player in Super Bowl history to have at least 300 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in a game.
2) Miles Sanders (Philadelphia Eagles)
The Eagles absolutely thrashed the Green Bay Packers in the running game on Sunday. While QB Jalen Hurts threw and ran for over 100 yards in the game, RB Sanders also had a great game. He finished with 21 carries for 143 yards and two touchdowns in the 10th win for the team.
3) Nick Chubb (Cleveland Browns)
The Browns overcame the Tom-Brady-led Tampa Bay Buccaneers in OT, securing a 23-17 win. Chubb ran with the ball 26 times which resulted in 116 yards for a TD.

4) James Connor (Arizona Cardinals)
Despite getting back QB Kyler Murray and WR Marquise Brown, the Cardinals were beaten at home by the Los Angeles Chargers. RB Connor did not have a rushing touchdown on the night, he secured a receiving TD for himself. In 25 carries, he recorded 120 rushing yards while his three receptions accounted for 20 yards and a TD.
5) Austin Ekeler (Los Angeles Chargers)
Ekeler can be credited with being a game-changer on the night when the Los Angeles Chargers won a crucial away game to keep their season alive. He had just five carries for 20 yards, but his 11 receptions in 15 targets resulted in a TD and 60 yards for the player. The Chargers ultimately won the game, 24-25.
