Week 3 of the 2022 NFL season is over and the injury list has changed much. The first two weeks of play put away several top running backs and receivers, many of whom returned in Week 3. 

The Week 3 concluded with Monday night football between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys. Here’s the injury list for Week 3, starting with Running Backs:

Joe Mixon

The Cincinnati Bengals’ running back suffered an ankle injury in Week 3. To the relief of Bengals’ fans, head coach Zac Taylor has said that the injury is not likely to place him on the sidelines in Week 4. 

Mixon registered 12 carries for 24 yards and 3 receptions for 14 yards in his return.

Alvin Kamara

The running back suffered a rib injury against the Falcons in Week 1. However, he returned in Week 3 in the 10-20 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Kamara registered 15 carries for 61 yards and 2 receptions for 12 yards in his return.

JK Dobbins

The Ravens running back returned from his preseason injury and played for the first time in the 2022 NFL season in Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins.  

He registered 7 carries for 23 yards and 2 receptions for 17 yards against the Dolphins.

Christian McCaffrey

The Carolina Panthers’ star running back returned from an ankle injury in Week 3. He registered 25 carries for 108 yards and 2 receptions for 7 yards against the Saints in his return.

James Conner

Conner returned from an ankle injury in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Rams. He registered 13 carries for 39 yards and 3 receptions for 18 yards in the game.

Damien Williams

Damien Williams of the Atlanta Falcons has a rib injury and has been put on the injured reserve list. He is expected to be out for the next few weeks.

Leonard Fournette

The Tampa Bay RB returned from a hamstring injury against the Green Bay Packers in Week 3. He registered 12 carries for 35 yards and 5 receptions for 35 yards in the game.

Gus Edwards

Edwards is recovering from an ACL tear that he got in September 2021. He is on the PUP list and is expected to miss at least the first four games. His team, the Baltimore Ravens, said this week that he is progressing well.

D’Andre Swift

The Detroit Lions running back returned from an ankle injury in Week 3. However, he suffered a shoulder injury in the game against the Minnesota Vikings and could miss some time. According to head coach Dan Campbell, he could return after Week 6.

He made 7 carries for 31 yards and 3 receptions for 15 yards in Week 3.

Brandon Bolden

Las Vegas Raiders running back Bolden returned from a hamstring injury against the Titans in Week 3. He registered 3 carries for 17 yards and 2 receptions for 4 yards in the game.

Elijah Mitchell

The San Francisco 49ers added the running back to injured reserve on Tuesday and he was absent in Week 3.

Tyson Davis-Price

The rookie running back suffered a hip injury in Week 2 and will be absent for a few weeks, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan has revealed.

Dontrell Hilliard

Hillard returned from his injury against the Raiders in Week 3 and registered 2 carries for 14 yards and 1 reception for 30 yards in the game.

Brian Robinson

The Washington Commanders running back has returned to practice in this week in less than three weeks after he was shot during a robbery attempt. He is eyeing for a Week 5 return as of now.

Dalvin Cook

The Vikings running back was forced off the field in Week 3 after suffering a shoulder injury. It was later revealed to be a dislocated shoulder. It is being expected that he might wear a harness to play in Week 4.  

Wide receivers

Sterling Shepard

The wide receiver suffered a knee injury against the Dallas Cowboys on Week 3, and if reports are to be believed, the injury could be season-ending for him. 

Coach Brian Daboll did not speak about the injury after the game.

Wan’Dale Robinson

The wide receiver suffered a knee injury and did not practice throughout the week. He was listed inactive by the Giants for Week 3 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Rondale Moore

The Cardinals wide receiver could return in Week 4 or 5 in the earliest, head coach Kliff Kingsbury has revealed.

Devin Duvernay

The Ravens wide receiver returned from his injury against the Patriots in Week 3. He registered 2 receptions for 25 yards, 1 receiving touchdown, 2 first downs and 2 carries for -2 yards in the game.

Gabe Davis

While the Bills listed him questionable for Week 3, he played against the Miami Dolphins. He registered 3 receptions for 37 yards and 2 first downs in the game.

Michael Gallup

The Cowboys star did not play in Week 3 against the Giants after suffering a knee injury earlier. Information regarding his return has not been released.

James Washington

The Cowboys wide receiver, who suffered a foot injury, returned to training on Thursday but remains on injured reserves for Week 3. His return date has also not been released.

Jerry Jeudy

The Broncos wide receiver returned from a shoulder injury against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3. He registered 2 receptions for 17 yards and 1 first down in the game.

Allen Lazard

The Packers wide receiver played in Week 3 after limping off the pitch with an ankle injury in Week 2. He registered 4 receptions for 45 yards, 1 receiving touchdown and 4 first downs against Tampa. 

Sammy Watkins

The Packers star did not play in Week 3 against Tampa Bay Buccaneers after suffering a hamstring injury.

Michael Pittman

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr returned from a quad injury in Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs. He registered 8 receptions for 72 yards and 4 first downs in the game.

AJ Green

Cardinals’ wide receiver AJ Green suffered a knee injury in Sunday’s game in the third quarter. He will not play against the Rams in Week 4.

Hunter Renfrow

The Las Vegas Raiders star did not play against the Titans in Week 3 after suffering a concussion. He also did not travel with the team for the game.

Cedrick Wilson Jr

The wide receiver returned from a rib injury against the Bills in Week 3. 

Jakobi Meyers

The wide receiver did not play against the Ravens in Week 3 after suffering a knee injury earlier. His return has not been released till now.

Ty Montgomery

The Patriots added the wide receiver to injured reserve list following a right knee injury and will not be available for Week 3.

Kadarius Toney

The Giants added Toney on the non-participants’ list on Friday’s injury report. He has been listed inactive by the Giants for Week 3.

Cody Davis

Davis returned from his calf injury against the Ravens in Week 3. He made 1 tackle in the game. 

Julio Jones & Chris Godwin

The Tampa Bay wide receiver duo did not play against the Packers in Week 3. Jones has a knee injury, whereas Godwin has a hamstring problem. 

Breshad Perriman

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver returned from a knee injury against the Packers. He registered 3 receptions for 44 targets, 1 first down and 1 carry in the game.

Scotty Miller

Miller returned from a calf injury in Week 3 and registered 1 reception for 4 yards against the Packers.

Russell Gage

Gage played against the Packers in Week 3 after returning from a hamstring injury. He registered 12 receptions for 87 yards, 1 receiving touchdown and 1 first down in the game.

Keenan Allen

Allen suffered a hamstring injury and did not play in Week 3. However, according to head coach Brandon Staley, he will be practicing in the upcoming week.

Injured Quarterbacks Week 3:

Lamar Jackson

The Baltimore Ravens quarterback returned from an elbow injury in Week 3. He made 18 successful passes for 218 yards and registered a total of 5 touchdowns against the Patriots. 

Zach Wilson

Wilson did not play against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3. Wilson has a knee injury that he picked up in the preseason and has not featured in the new season till now.

Dak Prescott

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback returned to practice on Thursday. However, their owner Jerry Jones has revealed that he could return in a minimum of two weeks. 

Justin Herbert

The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback returned from a rib injury in Week 3. He made 25 successful passes for 297 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception in the game.

Jameis Winston

The Saints quarterback played against the Jaguars in Week 3 after returning from a back and an ankle injury. He made 25 successful passes for 353 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions in the game.

Trey Lance

Lance did not play in Week 3 after suffering an ankle injury in Week 2.

Mac Jones

The New England Patriots quarterback suffered an injury in his left leg against the Ravens in the fourth quarter and was forced off the field. He needs to undergo a surgery and will probably miss out in Week 4.

Jones made 22 successful passes for 321 yards and 3 interceptions in the game.

Josh Allen

The Buffalo Bills quarterback headed to the X-Ray room following his side’s loss against the Miami Dolphins. When asked about it, he said that he was alright.

He made 42 accurate passes for 400 yards and 2 touchdowns in the game.

Tua Tagovailoa

The Miami Dolphins quarterback was forced off the field against the Bills, however, returned after some time. It is not clear whether he suffered any substantial injury or not. However, he did not practice on Monday.

He made 13 accurate passes for 186 yards and 1 touchdown in the game.

Tight Ends:

Isaiah Likely

He played against the Patriots in Week 3 and registered 1 reception for 8 yards in the game.

Dawson Knox

The Bills tight end played in Week 3 and made 4 receptions for 25 yards and 1 first down in the game. 

Drew Sample

The Cincinnati Bengals tight end could be ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury resulting in a surgery.

Jesse James

The Browns listed James, who picked up a biceps injury, in their injury reserve list on Tuesday and he did not play in Week 3.

Dalton Schultz

The Cowboys star did not practice on Friday and was limited on Saturday. He was listed inactive for Monday night football by the Cowboys against the Giants. 

TJ Hockenson

Hockenson returned from his hip injury and played against the Vikings in Week 3. He registered 3 receptions for 18 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 first down in the game.

George Kittle

The 49ers tight end returned from his groin injury and played in Week 3. He registered 4 receptions for 28 yards in the game.

Kickers:

Harrison Butker

The Chiefs placekicker did not play in Week 3 after suffering an ankle injury in week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals

Outside linebacker

Joey Bosa

The Chargers’ outside linebacker suffered a groin injury against the Jaguars in Week 3. He was seen limping on his way back to the locker room and did not return. He will undergo more tests to determine the current status of his injury.

Bosa registered 1 tackle before going out of the field in the game.

Defensive tackle

Leonard Williams

The star defensive tackle was listed inactive by the Giants ahead of Monday night’s game against the Dallas Cowboys following a knee injury.

Cornerback

Aaron Robinson

The Giants cornerback underwent an appendectomy recently and was listed inactive for Week 3 against the Cowboys. 

Defensive End

DeMarcus Lawrence 

The Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence suffered a foot injury against the Giants on Monday, which forced him off the field and to the medical tent. He did not return to the game and was seen leaving for the locker room. The extent of his injury is yet to be determined.

He registered 6 tackles and 3 sacks before going off with injury in the game.
