Following several injuries on Sunday, Monday Night Football game in Week 5 of NFL 2022 have also thrown up injuries to top players and the day is not done yet. Harrison Butker has been confirmed out of Week 5 by the KC Chiefs. Meanwhile, the Raiders are also missing a few players on Monday.

Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins, has a new injury, this time to the foot. The wideout had entered Week 5 questionable with a quad injury.

New Orleans Saints’ Chris Olave suffered a concussion vs the Seattle Seahawks in their Sunday match-up in Week 5. On the Seahawks side, running back Rashad Penny has what is seen as a serious injury to his left leg. 

Also newly arrived on the injury list are Brittain Brown, Foster Moreau, Harrison Butker, Ronald Jones, Pat Freiermuth, Damien Harris, Teddy Bridgewater, Dalton Schultz and Drake London.

Here’s the updated injury list for Week 5, starting with running backs:

James Connor – Questionable

James Connor of the Arizona Cardinals has a rib injury and is questionable to return vs the Eagles. 

Rashad Penny – Doubtful

The Seattle Seahawks running back was carted off field with an injury to his lower left leg vs the New Orleans Saints and is listed as doubtful. NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport quoted sources as saying that Penny has a fractured tibia and he is likely to have to undergo surgery. 

Damien Harris – Questionable

Harris of the New England Patriots is listed as questionable after injuring his hamstring in the Week 5 game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Brian Robinson Jr – Healthy

Six weeks after being shot twice in his lower body, Washington Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. came off the injury list for Sunday Week 5.  Robinson was the target of an attempted robbery in late August and has been healing from two gunshot wounds to his lower torso. He missed the first four games of the season after being added to the non-football injury list on September 1. 

Jonathan Taylor-Out

Jonathan Taylor missed Week 5 Thursday night football against the Denver Broncos. The RB1 had to exit last Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans in the fourth quarter due to an ankle injury. He was marked DNP for Monday’s practice and this will be only the second time he will miss a game in his NFL career. The only other game he missed was in 2020 as a result of his inclusion on the COVID-19 list.

Alvin Kamara-Questionable

New Orleans Saints’ Kamara practiced in a limited capacity due to a rib injury. Despite not playing during the team’s Week 4 trip to London, Alvin Kamara is sure that he will play in Week 5.

While speaking in a press conference, the RB said he’s ‘ready to roll’ vs. Seattle Seahawks. Kamara missed the Saints’ loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday due to an injury that he described as “weird”.

David Montgomery – Healthy

Chicago Bears RB David Montgomery exited the injury list just before Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings and is playing. Montgomery sat out last week’s game against the New York Giants after injuring his ankle against the Tennessee Titans the week before.

D’Andre Swift- Out

Detroit Lions’ RB D’Andre Swift is out vs the Patriots. Swift has  a sprained shoulder and missed the Lions’ Week 4 game too. He was injured during the Lions’ Week 3 loss to the Vikings. 

J.K. Dobbins- Healthy

The Baltimore Ravens running back missed practice earlier in the week and was questionable but he has been taken off the injured list for the Week 4 game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night.

Nyheim Hines – Out

The Colts running back suffered a similar injury to Tua Tagavailova and was taken off the field against the Denver Broncos in Week 5. It was later announced that the player is out for the rest of the game. 

Justice Hill- Out

Justice Hill, the Baltimore Ravens RB, will not play in Raven’s clash with the Bengals on Monday. He is out with a hamstring injury and will not feature in match week five.

Gus Edwards-Out

Gus Edwards, another Baltimore Ravens RB, will not feature in Monday’s game against the Bengals. He has been taken in with a knee injury and will be out for the match week five fixture.

Jerome Ford – Injured Reserve

Jerome Ford, the RB of the Cleveland Browns, incurred an ankle injury and has been placed on injured reserve since October 4. It is not clear yet when Ford will return to the pitch.

Tony Pollard- Questionable

Tony Pollard, the Dallas Cowboys RB, was suffering from an illness and could not attend the team practice on Friday. The official website of the Cowboys said that he is questionable for Sunday’s clash against the Rams.

Brittain Brown – Out

The Raiders running back was limited in Thursday’s practice, however, was absent in Friday and Saturday. The Las Vegas Raiders have since put him on the inactive list ahead of their Monday Night Football Game against the Chiefs.  

Wide Receivers:

Tyreek Hill – Questionable

Tyreek Hill wore a walking boot after injuring his left foot in Sunday’s match-up with the Los Angeles Jets, but his injury is not said to be serious. Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel told reporters after the game that Hill’s foot had been stepped on during the game. Hill was questionable at the start of last week because of a quad injury.  

Chris Olave – Questionable

Wideout Chris Olave is being evaluated for a head injury after suffering a concussion in Sunday’s game vs the Seahawks. 

Drake London – Questionable

The Atlanta Falcons’ Drake London has an ankle injury.

Jaylen Waddle-Healthy

Jaylen Waddle is playing on Sunday vs the New York Jets.The Miami Dolphins WR had missed practice earlier due to a groin injury. 

Curtis Samuel-Healthy

Curtis Samuel, a wide receiver for the Washington Commanders, missed practice due to illness. He is healthy enough to play this Sunday against the Tennessee Titans since the illness appears to be non-Covid.

Keenan Allen-Out

Keenan Allen of the Los Angeles Chargers has a hamstring injury and is out for Week 5 vs  the Cleveland Browns. Allen is still monitored on a day-to-day basis, according to coach Brandon Staley, who also added that the team is being careful with the veteran’s injury.

Gabe Davis-Healthy

At the Bills’ practice on Wednesday, Gabe Davis was a full participant. This is a step in the right way for Davis’s recovery after he didn’t complete full practice last week. He had a strong Week 1 but has only caught three passes in the following games.

Julio Jones-Out 

Julio Jones was limited in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ practice sessions due to a knee injury and is listed as out. Jones missed games in Weeks 2 and 3 as a result of a knee injury he sustained in Week 1. Last week against the Kansas City Chiefs, he returned to the field, but he only managed to catch one of his two targets for seven yards.

Jarvis Landry- Healthy

Wide Receiver Jarvis Landry practised in a limited capacity due to an ankle injury, but was taken off the injury list before Sunday’s game He played in Week 4 after he was listed as questionable.

Amon-Ra St. Brown- Healthy

The Lions’ WR did not practise on Wednesday due to an ankle injury. He also missed practice and did not play the game last week due to the injury. St. Brown injured his ankle in the Week 3 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

D.J. Chark- Out

St Browns’ teammate and fellow wideout DJ Chark had linited practice this week and is not playing the Lions’ Week 5 game against the New England Patriots. 

Josh Reynolds- Healthy

Reynolds did not participate in the Lions’ Wednesday practice. Despite having the same injury the previous week, he was still able to participate and he made the most of it by catching seven catches for 81 yards and a touchdown.

Marquise Brown-Healthy

Marquise Brown missed practice Wednesday. In the Cardinals’ triumph last week, he caught six of his eleven targets for 88 yards and a touchdown, even though he had limited participation in last week’s practice. Brown has established himself as Kyler Murray’s go-to receiver over the past two weeks after leading his team in targets, receptions, and yards in Week 4.

A.J. Green-Healthy

Green was limited in the Cardinals’ practice on Wednesday. He was ruled out in Week for the game against Carolina Panthers due to a knee injury he suffered in Week 3. He has recovered and will be in the squad for matchweek 5.

Tee Higgins-Questionable

The WR was limited in the Bengals’ practice due to an ankle injury. In Week 4, he was crucial in their 27-15 victory over the Dolphins, catching seven of his nine receptions for 124 yards and a touchdown.

Rashod Bateman-Out

Bateman missed the Baltimore Ravens’ Wednesday practice session due to a foot injury. The injury to Bateman, according to head coach John Harbaugh, was not significant but was thought to be day-to-day. The 22-year-old has 11 receptions this season for 243 yards and two TDs. Although Bateman won’t be out for a long time, he will not be available for Week 5.

Antoine Wesley- Out

Antoine Wesley, the Arizona Cardinals WR, will not be available for matchweek five. The Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury said that Wesley suffered an injury and won’t feature in the clash against the Eagles. 

Jameson Williams- Out

Jameson Williams, Detroit Lions WR, is recovering from a knee injury and won’t return till after matchweek six. Head coach Dan Campbell confirmed the duration of his absence and assured that he is making progress quickly.

Hunter Renfrow – Questionable

Hunter Renfrow, the Las Vegas Raiders WR, has been marked questionable for the Week 5 game on Tuesday vs Kansas City. He suffered a concussion.

Michael Thomas – Out

Michael Thomas, the New Orleans Saints WR, was ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Seahawks. He is suffering from a foot injury according to a New Orleans Times-Picayune report.

Wan’Dale Robinson – Out

Wan’Dale Robinson, the New York Giants WR, is deemed ineligible to play against the Packers on Sunday, according to Dan Salomone of the Giants’ official website. Robinson is suffering from a knee injury.

Kadarius Toney – Out

Another New York Giants WR, Karius Toney, will be out in the next match due to injuries in both hamstrings. According to coach Brian Daboll on Friday, Toney is presently struggling with hamstring issues in both legs, according to Tom Rock of Newsday.

Kenny Golladay- Out

Kenny Golladay, also a WR of the New York Giants, will not play against the Packers on Sunday, according to Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record.

Dareke Young- Out

Dareke Young, the Seattle Seahawks WR, has been ruled out for Seahawk’s game against the Saints on Sunday. He is suffering from a quadriceps injury. 

JuJu Smith-Schuster – Active

The Kansas City Chiefs have put Schuster out of the inactives list for Monday Night Football game against the Las Vegas Raiders. He is expected to play in Week 5.

Quarterbacks:

Teddy Bridgewater – Questionable

The Miami Dolphins quarterback as been placed in the NFL’s  concussion protocol after leaving the field during Sunday’s game against the Jets in the first quarter. Ian Rapoport of NFL.com said Bridgewater passed some medical tests but was ruled out for returning because because of new concussion protocols. 

Tom Brady – Healthy

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady missed practice on Wednesday due to a finger issue and strain on his throwing shoulder. However, he practiced on Thursday. The 45-year-old on Friday confirmed that he will play on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.

Dak Prescott-Out

Dallas Cowboy owner Jerry Jones has said that Dak Prescott is still “not well enough to play” against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5. Prescott suffered a thumb injury in the season opener and has not featured in any game since then. Cooper Rush, who replaced him, will lead Dallas on Monday.

Mac Jones-Doubtful

New England Patriots GM Bill Belichick said that QB Mac Jones is continuing to make progress after his ankle injury recovery. He sustained a high ankle sprain in the closing moments of the Week 3 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Daniel Jones-Healthy

New York Giants’ Daniel Jones suffered an ankle injury against the Chicago Bears on Sunday and left the game before coming back at the conclusion of the fourth quarter when backup QB Tyrod Taylor was diagnosed with a concussion. He can be expected to feature in Week 5 game against the Green Bay Packers.

Tua Tagovailoa-Out

Tua Tagovailoa, the Dolphins’ starting quarterback, will not play against the New York Jets on Sunday. The QB suffered a concussion last Thursday in Cincinnati when Bengals defensive tackle Josh Tupou sacked him. He was stretchered off the field and brought to the hospital right away. That evening, he returned to South Florida on a team flight. According to Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel, Tagovailoa’s second MRI on Friday afternoon came back clean.

Justin Herbert-Healthy

Justin Herbert, who suffered a rib injury, participated in the Los Angeles Chargers’ practice on Wednesday. Herbert took a brutal hit in the fourth quarter of the Chargers’ 27-24 loss to the Chiefs in Week 2 and fractured rib cartilage. He returned to play the game, after receiving medical attention.

Jameis Winston-Doubtful

New Orleans Saints QB Jameis Winston did not practice on Wednesday. He was sidelined in the Week 4 game, with Andy Dalton getting the start for the Saints. Winston is dealing with fractures in his back, sustained during training camp.

Sam Ehlinger- Out

Sam Ehlinger, of the Indianapolis Colts, sustained an injury in the game against Broncos on Saturday. At the moment he is out for Colt’s next match in match week six.

Brian Hoyer- Out

Brian Hoyer, the New England Patriot’s QB, will be out for match week five. The 36-year-old suffered a concussion and will not play for the Patriot’s next match.

Tyrod Taylor- Out

Tyrod Taylor of the New York Giants will be out for the game against the Green Bay Packers. The QB suffered a concussion last week and has been ruled out for next week’s game.

Tight end:

Pat Freiermuth – 

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end was ruled out of the rest of Sunday’s game in the match-up with the Bills after he suffered a concussion.  Freiermuth was tackled by Bills defenders on a second-down pass. Freiermuth had two concussions last season.

David Njoku-Healthy

David Njoku, a tight end with the Cleveland Browns, missed practice on Wednesday due to “knee/rest.” He was given the same designation last week when he missed two practice days but was nonetheless removed from the injury list prior to their game versus the Atlanta Falcons. He caught 5-of-7 targets for 73 yards in that game.

Kyle Pitts-Out

Due to a hamstring injury, Pitts was the only player who missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Pitts’ absence might just be a precaution, but it is concerning nonetheless for the Falcons. This season, he has only 10 catches for 150 yards, far from his rookie version of himself. He will not feature in the Week 5 game.

Taysom Hill-Healthy

Due to a rib injury, Taysom Hill was limited during practice on Wednesday. He already missed Week 3 due to the same injury but operated as the Saints’ primary backup QB behind Andy Dalton in Week 4.

Dalton Schultz – Questionable

The Dallas Cowboys Tight End was forced off the field against the Los Angeles Rams after suffering an injury in his right knee. As per the latest reports, he is questionable to return.

Foster Moreau – Out

The Raiders put tight end Foster Moreau in the inactive list ahead of their Week 5 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Moreau was a limited participant on Sunday following a knee injury and will not be playing against the KC Chiefs.

Darren Waller -Injured

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller suffered a hamstring injury in Monday night football against the Kansas City Chiefs. As per the latest updates, he is questionable to come back on the field in the game. 

Kicker:

Jake Elliot-Out

Philadelphia kicker Jake Elliot missed Eagles’ Wednesday practice. Jake Elliott scored five points in the Eagles’ 29-21 victory over the Jaguars in Week 4 after making two of his three extra point attempts and also converting his lone field goal attempts.

Evan McPherson-Healthy

McPherson was limited in Bengal’s practice session due to a groin injury. With 33 total fantasy points through the first four weeks, the 23-year-old kicker is tied for sixth place overall among all kickers.

Harrison Butker – Out

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker did not practice throughout the last week and will be missing the game against th Las Vegas Raiders. It is the fourth week he is missing from the NFL owing to an ankle sprain that he suffered earlier in the season.
