Two of Houston Texans’ starting wide receivers are out of Week 9 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, with one of them, Brandin Cooks is unhappy with the team.

Going into Week 9 of the NFL, Jonathon Taylor further aggravated his ankle injury and was sidelined in the Wednesday practice. Aaron Rodgers practiced for the first time in a month, albeit in a limited manner. There are six teams on bye in Week 9: San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, and the New York Giants.

Here’s a list of all the injury updates of NFL Week 9:

Quarterback:

Aaron Rodgers: 

Aaron Rodgers practised on a limited basis on Wednesday for the first time since Week 5 as his right thumb seems to be feeling better.

Ryan Tannehill:

Due to an ankle issue, Tannehill was limited in practice on Wednesday, but he is still unsure of whether he will be ready to play on Sunday or would have to miss his second consecutive game.

Running Back:

Jonathan Taylor: 

Running back Jonathan Taylor was sidelined by the Indianapolis Colts to start the practice week after he worsened the right ankle problem that has been troubling him all season. The team will keep an eye on him during the week, according to head coach Frank Reich, and then determine where he stands in terms of his availability for Sunday’s game with New England Patriots.

Derrick Henry: 

Running back Derrick Henry, who amassed 219 yards and two scores on 32 attempts in a victory over the Houston Texans, was limited in practice by a foot injury.

Cordarrelle Patterson: 

Running back Cordarrelle Patterson’s 21-day practice window was opened after Atlanta Falcons declared him eligible to be activated from the injured list. After suffering a knee injury in Week 4, Patterson was sidelined for the previous four games.

Chuba Hubbard: 

Chuba Hubbard returned to practice with the Carolina Panthers on a limited basis after suffering from an ankle injury.

Ja’Marr Chase:

Ja’Marr Chase missed practice as he recovers from a hip injury that will keep him out for a few weeks.

Damien Harris:

Due to illness, Damien Harris was unable to participate in the New England Patriots’ practice on Thursday. Harris will still have the chance to practise again for the Patriots on Friday and receive the all-clear to play this weekend.

Cam Akers: 

Due to personal reasons, Cam Akers was unable to participate in practise, but McVay claims that the unhappy running back had a “good talk” with him on Wednesday morning, with multiple reports claiming that Akers wanted a trade.

Wide Receivers:

Cooper Kupp:

Cooper Kupp missed practice on Wednesday as he recovers from an ankle ailment. Sean McVay anticipates Kupp playing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brandin Cooks: 

Cooks will not feature in the Week 9 clash against Philadelphia Eagles. He is seemingly upset about not being dealt with before the trade deadline.

Keenan Allen: 

Keenan Allen missed practice on Wednesday due to a hamstring injury. This makes his availability for Week 9 questionable.

Jaylen Waddle: 

Wednesday’s Miami Dolphins practise included Jaylen Waddle as a full participant. With two touchdowns in Week 8, Waddle is coming off a big performance.

Allen Lazard:

Allen Lazard was limited in practice after missing last week’s loss to Buffalo Bills. Lazard was sidelined in Week 8 due to a shoulder injury

D’Andre Swift: 

D’Andre Swift played against the Dolphins on Sunday after a three-game hiatus, but ankle and shoulder issues prevented him from practising on Wednesday.

DeVante Parker:

Parker missed practice on Thursday due to a sprained knee.

Devante Adams: 

Davante Adams was limited in practice because of illness.

Tyler Lockett: 

Lockett was limited in practice due to a hamstring and ribs injury. In Week 8 game against the Giants, Tyler Lockett caught five catches for 63 yards and a touchdown.

DK Metcalf: 

Metcalf was also limited due to a knee injury. On Sunday against the Giants, DK Metcalf hauled in six catches for 55 yards and a touchdown.

Kadarius Toney: 

On Wednesday’s practice, the former Giants wideout wasn’t listed on the Chiefs’ injury report. He might make his debut on Sunday’s clash against the Tennessee Titans.

Nico Collins:

The Texans starting wide receiver suffered a groin injury earlier this season and is currently part of the inactives list in Week 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Kicker:

Dustin Hopkins: 

Kicker Dustin Hopkins didn’t practice due to a hamstring injury.
