Tom Brady has already retired and unretired once. And now NFL fans are hoping the GOAT will get back on the field as the Las Vegas Raiders’ quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo’s future is uncertain.

Garoppolo, an obvious choice for Raiders QB, has a lingering foot injury. It has resulted in the team placing a waiver on his contract, which means they can cut the player off. The 31-year-old missed most of the 2022 season for the San Francisco 49ers because of his troubled ankle. A report from Pro Football Talk highlighted that his injury has forced Las Vegas to put an Addendum G clause in his contract.

Jimmy Garoppolo reportedly underwent foot surgery in March and is yet to participate in OTAs, sparking theories around Brady’s return.

The former Tampa Bay quarterback, a seven-time Super Bowl winner, is going to turn 46 in August. He has agreed to purchase a stake in the Raiders. The deal must now be approved by at least 24 of 32 owners.

While Brady could potentially be Las Vegas Raiders’ best choice right now, his aspiration to purchase a piece of the franchise is looking like a hiccup. As per an unnamed source, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported, team owners need a commitment from Brady that he is done playing.

“If Tom Brady Buys the Raiders and then Injects himself into the Starting QB position, that would be Historic right? Has there ever been a Owner/Player before?” a Twitter user asked.

“It would be very interesting if Tom Brady somehow was the #Raiders QB this season with Josh McDaniel after the recent Jimmy G news,” another one added.

Will Brady’s return make Las Vegas Raiders Super Bowl contenders? Only time will tell.
