The final day of personnel switcheroo is here for the 2021 NFL season and there are possible deadline day trades that could make or break the season for some teams. Almost every decision-maker in the league will be on the phone, seeking to work out a deal to better their team for the rest of the season or for the future on Tuesday.

Let’s take a look at three rumoured blockbuster moves that could happen on the final day.

1. QB Deshaun Watson from Houston Texans to Carolina Panthers

This year’s biggest name on the trade market is Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, who has been on the market since requesting a trade in March. The NFL is still looking into Watson, who is accused of sexual harassment and inappropriate conduct in 22 lawsuits and ten criminal complaints, despite the fact that no charges have been made and the quarterback has rejected the allegations.

Few teams have been in the race to land Watson. For a long time, the Miami Dolphins have been the frontrunners to get Deshaun Watson at the trade deadline. Negotiations have stalled in recent days, while a new challenger has emerged recently — the Carolina Panthers.

2. WR Odell Beckham Jr. from Cleveland Browns to the Green Bay Packers

Under coach Kevin Stefanski, Odell Beckham Jr. isn’t a big component of the Cleveland Browns‘ run-heavy offence. The Green Bay Packers have been without a genuine number two receiver for a long time and may finally be able to acquire one before the trade deadline. It would elevate their offensive to a new level, boosting their chances of winning the Super Bowl. It would also provide protection if Davante Adams leaves this summer as a free agent.

3. RB Marlon Mack from Indianapolis Colts to the Kansas City Chiefs

This season, Patrick Mahomes has struggled more than anyone else in his young career. He has thrown an interception for seven straight games now. That is now the longest streak in his high school, college or NFL career.

The lack of a regular rushing game might be detrimental to him. Marlon Mack is a solid lead running back in the near term, and when Clyde Edwards-Helaire returns from injury, he’ll be a wonderful complement in style.
