Week 8 of the 2022 NFL season resumes on Monday and comes bearing some good and some bad news. Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has been put on inactives list ahead of Monday Night Football game against the Cleveland Browns.
Lions wide receiver Amon Ra-St Brown has cleared the concussion protocol and is active against the Miami Dolphins.
Meanwhile, Panthers duo RB Chuba Hubbard and WR Rashard Higgins will also be absent against the Panthers on Sunday.
Baltimore Ravens’ wide receiver Rashod Bateman, running back Gus Edwards and tight end Mark Andrews suffered injuries against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night.
RB Edwards injured the hamstring of his right leg in the fourth quarter and was ruled questionable to return.

Quarterbacks
Joe Flacco: Out
The New York Jets QB has been put on the inactives list ahead of Week 8 game against the New England Patriots. Zach Wilson has replaced him in the game.
Russell Wilson: Questionable
Russell Wilson, who missed last Sunday’s game against the New York Jets due to a hamstring injury, is monitored as ‘day to day’ heading into the Denver Broncos‘ Week 8 matchup against Jacksonville Jaguars according to head coach Nathaniel Hackett.
Carson Wentz: Out
Wentz is now battling with a fractured ring finger that he sustained during the Washington Commanders‘ Week 6 game. The QB has been placed on injured reserve by the Commanders because the doctor who operated on Wentz estimates a four-week rehabilitation period for him.
Baker Mayfield: Questionable
Carolina Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 5. According to some reports, Baker Mayfield took most of the scout team reps at the Panthers’ practice on Wednesday. PJ Walker will continue to be the starter, but it appears that Mayfield will play this weekend as the backup.

Running backs
Trayveon Williams: Out
The Cincinnati Bengals running back was put on the inactives list ahead of his side’s Week 8 game against the Cleveland Browns.
Ezekiel Elliott: Out
The Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott will be missing his second career game owing to a knee injury that he suffered in the previous week.
James Conner: Out
The Cardinals running back has been put on the inactives list following an injury earlier. He will be absent in Week 8 game against the Vikings.
Chuba Hubbard: Out
The star running back has been put on the inactives list ahead of the Week 8 game against the Falcons.
Breece Hall: Out
The New York Jets’ Breece Hall have been placed on the injury reserve, after he tore his ACL in Week 7, bringing his rookie campaign to an end. After Week 3, the RB rushed for 463 yards and four touchdowns while taking part in more than 50% of the Jets’ snaps.
Ezekiel Elliott: Questionable
Due to a knee strain, Ezekiel Elliott was unable to practise on Wednesday. According to head coach Mike McCarthy, this year’s knee sprain is different from last year’s. Elliott has participated in each of the season’s seven games, rushing 109 times for 443 yards and four touchdowns.
D’Andre Swift: Questionable
Swift only participated in a limited capacity at practice due to a shoulder injury. He was inactive for Week 7, missing his third straight game.
J.K. Dobbins: Questionable
J.K. Dobbins has officially been placed on injured reserve. After Dobbins underwent arthroscopic knee surgery, this action was anticipated. He is predicted to be out for 4-6 weeks.
Cam Akers: Questionable
Akers is doubtful for Week 8 due to ‘personal’ reasons, and there is a lot of speculation that that is because the RB requested a trade.
Darrel Williams: Questionable
Williams was also inactive for Week 7 due to a strained knee.
Gus Edwards: In
The running back was announced active for Week 8 by the Baltimore Ravens for Week 8 after suffering an injury earlier in the 2022 NFL season.

Wide Receivers
Ja’Marr Chase: Out
The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver suffered a hip injury recently that has ruled him out of Monday night’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
Amon Ra-St Brown – Active
The Detroit Lions wide receiver has cleared the concussion protocol and has been deemed active against the Miami Dolphins in Week 8.
Rashard Higgins – Out
The Panthers star wide receiver suffered an injury earlier which has forced him to rule out Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.
River Cracraft – Out
The Miami Dolphins wide receiver suffered a neck injury on Saturday, which forced him to be ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions.
DK Metcalf: Questionable
Metcalf sustained a patellar tendon injury, according to coach Pete Carroll, but he won’t require surgery. The WR was carted to the locker room during the Seattle Seahawks‘ game vs. the Los Angeles Chargers last Sunday.
Allen Lazard: Questionable
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard injured his shoulder during Week 7 loss to the Washington Commanders. He was also sidelined at Packers practice on Wednesday.
Jahan Dotson: Questionable
Jahan Dotson, a rookie wide receiver for the Commanders, was listed as not practising on the injury report on Wednesday. Last week, Dotson suffered a setback when he strained his hamstring in practice.
Elijah Moore: Questionable
Elijah Moore has resumed training and is anticipated to participate in the Jets’ Week 8 matchup with New England Patriots.
Julio Jones: Questionable
Due to a knee injury, Julio Jones is regarded as a game-time decision for Thursday’s game against Baltimore Ravens. If Jones is unable to play Thursday night, it will be the fourth straight game that he has missed. He managed to practice in a limited capacity on Tuesday.
Jarvis Landry: Questionable
Jarvis Landry was inactive in New Orleans Saints Thursday’s game against the Cardinals in Week 7 due to an ankle injury.
Treylon Burks: Questionable
Treylon Burks was placed on injured reserve with a toe injury, which he suffered in the Week 4 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
Randall Cobb: Out
Randall Cobb was placed on injured reserve last Saturday. He is expected to miss at least the next four games.
Rashod Bateman – Out
The Ravens wide receiver suffered a foot injury against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night ruling him out of the game.
Russell Gage – Active
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver was announced as active ahead of the Week 8 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Tight ends
David Njoku: Out
The Cleveland Browns tight end has been listed inactive ahead of Week 8 game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night.
Dalton Schultz: Active
The Cowboys TE was questionable to play in Week 8 following a shoulder injury last week, however, he has returned in Week 8 against the Bears.
David Njoku: Questionable
Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku was ruled out with an ankle injury in Week 7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He will not be requiring surgery, but according to some reports, will be sidelined for a few weeks.
Cameron Brate – Out
The tight end suffered a neck injury that forced him off the field recently. He is missing Week 8 game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Mark Andrews – Questionable
The tight end was on the injury reserve throughout the week, however, was announced active by the Ravens ahead of the Thursday Night Football game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He suffered a shoulder injury in the game which forced him off the field. As per latest reports, Andrews is questionable to return for the rest of the game.
