While, Singh did say that he felt “humiliated” after the resignation, adding that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are “inexperienced”, he is yet to make an official statement. As per NDTV reports, Singh plans to leave the Congress but he will not join the BJP.

Singh met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the latter’s residence on Wednesday. The meeting assumes significance as he had claimed that he had not quit politics and would fight till the end.

As regards his political future, Singh had said there were several options before him.

The veteran Congress leader also slammed Navjot Singh Sidhu, who quit as the Punjab Congress chief on Tuesday.

Amid all the rapid developments in Punjab and Delhi, going by goalkeeper Amrinder Singh’s statement, media houses and journalists confused him for the former CM.
