Indian cricketer Virat Kohli shared a video on social media of him playing football, attempting a shot, to only find the crossbar. “Accidental crossbar challenge”, wrote skipper of the Indian Cricket Team. His fellow athletes such as Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri and Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic took no time to comment on the cricketer’s video.

Kohli is seen playing football regularly as a prematch routine. He is also the co-owner of the Indian Super League (ISL) team, FC Goa. But the mention of “accidental” in the caption gives away that he was actually attempting to find the back of the net rather than the frame of the goal.

Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri in response to the video wrote, “Saare coaching sessions ka ek hi invoice bheju, ya aasan kishton mein chukaoge, champ?”, asking Kohli if he would send an invoice for all the coaching sessions, or if would make easy payments in installments, on Twitter.

World number one tennis player Novak Djokovic responded to the video with a laughing emoticon. While the post received 340,000 likes and reactions on Facebook, Djokovic’s comment received over 8000 likes on Facebook, at the time writing this article.

“Bend it like Virat”, commented a user, while many others reacted with laughing emoticons, and a few praised his all-round abilities as an athlete.
