The Chiefs’ plan to visit the White House hasn’t amused all fans. On Twitter, a couple of these fans responded to the news. Others, however, wound up mentioning Jackson Mahomes and his wife Brittany. Following the former’s recent imprisonment, many criticized the Mahomes family for their actions:

One user tweeted – “Keep politics out of sports.”

Another tweeted – “Great more cheaters in the White House.”

Some social media users went as far as to say that they are no longer a fan of the team, tweeting – “Welp I guess I’m not a Chiefs fan anymore then.”

The Chiefs decided not to participate in their White House in 2020, when Donald Trump was in office. Before the decision was made, Patrick Mahomes talked about the need to keep politics and sports separate.

However, he said that he will have to consult with his teammates about the decision and make the best decision for the squad as a whole. Their selection would speak to them as individuals, the NFL as a league, and Kansas City as a city.
