The Philadelphia Eagles travelled to face the Houston Texans in Week 9 of the 2022 NFL season on November 3 at NRG Stadium. While they could not draw the first blood, they soon raced to a 14-7 lead over the hosts before going into the half.

The first touchdown of the game was scored by Houston Texans tight end Teagan Quitoriano, however, tight end Miles Sanders soon restored parity for the visitors. While the touchdown helped the Philadelphia Eagles to equalize, the 25-year-old’s stiff arm on the way to the touchdown received praise from fans and pundits alike.

Sanders’ stiff arm movement took place in the first quarter, a little after the Philadelphia Eagles conceded the opening touchdown of the game to the Houston Texans. The visitors’ tight end made a reception from quarterback Jalen Hurts’ pass and scored a 2-yard touchdown.

On the way to score the touchdown, he was being blocked by several opponent defenders, however, Sanders threw one and blocked the rest with his stiff arm on the way to score the touchdown. The move left the spectators in awe of the 25-year-old’s abilities.

Sanders has been one of the standout performers for the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2022 NFL season and he did not disappoint against the Houston Texans in Week 9. He registered 12 carries for 72 yards and 1 rushing touchdown against the Texans till the third quarter, with 2:06 left on the clock.

He has also registered 114 carries for 563 yards, 5 rushing touchdowns and 11 receptions for 42 yards in the 2022 NFL season so far. Thursday’s rushing touchdown was also his fifth touchdown of the season by the tight end, meaning he is currently the joint fifth-highest rushing touchdown scorer in the league.

At the time of writing this article, the Philadelphia Eagles are leading 21-14 against the Houston Texans, with the fourth and final quarter left to be played.
