The 2023 NBA All-Star game officially started on February 19 in Salt Lake City. The game will be held between Team LeBron and Team Giannis at Vivint Arena. A number of celebrities are set to perform at the game. Vin Diesel announced the games earlier today while Post Malone gave a pre-game performance at the game on Sunday.

After the first NBA All-Star draft, Post Malone came on the stage for a brief concert. He performed his songs ‘Wow’ and ‘Rockstar’ before the game. For Rockstar, he was joined by rapper 21 Savage who was also there in the original studio version of the song. The All Stars game will reportedly also honor NBA legend, LeBron James during half-time for setting the scoring record.

Along with Malone, the game also features Burna Boy, Teams ad Roma in an Afrobeats-inspired performance.

The program is being broadcasted on TV on TNT and TBS Networks. Notable broadcasters include names like Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, Dennis Scott, Reggie Miller, etc. Payson native Jewel performed the national anthem

The All-Star games have four quarters. In each of the first three quarters, the teams begin with 0 points. Each quarter is about 12 minutes long. The final quarter begins with teams’ total score after three quarters. In the fourth quarter, the teams play for an untimed period to a final target score. Therefore, the final target score will be the leading team’s total score after three quarters plus 24 points.

The team will fight for a $100,000 prize that will be donated by the teams to their respective charity organizations. Team LeBron is competing for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah while Team Giannis will donate their prize money to Raise The Future .
