Newly-promoted Brentford put up an inspired performance to hold Liverpool to a 3-3 draw on Saturday in Premier League. Midfielder Yoane Wissa was subbed on late in the second half and he stabbed home equaliser in the 82nd minute.

The Bees proved that their incredible run of form hasn’t just been a fluke and they’ve clearly marked their place in the English Premier League.

Brentford looked to up the ante from the very first minute of the game as they took the Merseyside club by surprise. Finally, in the 27th minute, Brentford had the breakthrough after Ethan Pinnock found the back of the net from a drilled Ivan Toney cross. The star striker scored and assisted in Brentford’s last encounter and made his mark yet again.

However, the West London club’s moment of joy was cut short after they conceded within four minutes of scoring. Mohamed Salah found Jordan Henderson in the far right corner of the pitch and the Liverpool skipper picked out Diogo Jota with a juicy cross from out wide. The Portuguese forward placed the ball home, to equalise the scores.

After the break, Liverpool seemed to had found their mojo back as Fabinho set up Salah with a looping forward ball on the break, and the Egyptian cushioned it with his boots and nudged it past the onrushing keeper.

While onlookers felt Liverpool might be back in the driver’s seat, Brentford weren’t ready to let go. Just nine minutes after Salah’s strike, Vitaly Janelt yet again tied the scores as he found the back of the net after a prolonged scramble in the Liverpool box. As Alisson lied on the floor helpless, Janelt headed the ball home sending the Bees buzzing.

But yet again, Liverpool struck early after conceding, as Curtis Jones put the Jorgen Klopp’s side ahead with a deflected shot from outside the box. After an injury to midfielder Harvey Elliot, Jones has made the third spot in the Liverpool midfield his own and proved his worth yet again.
