The opening ceremony, one of the World Cup‘s most eagerly anticipated events, is fast approaching. It will take place in Qatar 2022 on November 20 at 19:00 (local time) at the Al Bayt Stadium in the city of Al Khor.

Although the identity of the performers is still not confirmed, FIFA anticipates negotiating the band BTS‘ involvement, and different media reports suggest that Shakira may reappear at the opening ceremony.

The members of BTS and the Colombian singer will also perform on the World Cup opening stage, along with Dua Lipa, according to Total Reporter.

The Waka Waka singer would be joined on stage by other well-known performers from around the world, including Dua Lipa and the well-known Korean K-Pop group, BTS.

FIFA has not officially confirmed the rumors, but they are beginning to surface nonetheless, and supporters are already planning how amazing the pre-tournament entertainment before Qatar vs. Ecuador will be.

European domestic football calendars have been severely affected by this, with league and cup competitions all across the world as well as continental championships like the Champions League being obliged to take a month off.
