Croatia’s Luka Modric and Brazil’s Casemiro are both likely playing their last FIFA World Cup tournament. Both players have together scripted history at Real Madrid, winning five UEFA Champions League titles together. As their sides clashed at the quarterfinal of the ongoing tournament. Just after the half-time whistle blew, the two stars were spotted swapping shirts.

Brazil and Croatia are both putting up a strong show in the quarterfinal, with both sides coming near to leading, but failing to do so yet. Croatia’s goalkeeper Dominik Livaković has been their strongest player yet, saving their skin on numerous occasions.
He has made more saves within 70 minutes of the match than Brazil’s goalkeeper Alisson has in the entire tournament thus far.
The match could not deliver a clear winner after the first 90 minutes, and headed into extra time. Croatia would have conceded a few had it not been for the heroics of their goalkeeper, Dominik Livakovic, who has denied Neymar four times in the match. He has made more saves in the match than Brazil’s goalkeeper Alisson Becker has in the entire tournament.
Neymar scored one for Brazil while Bruno Petkovic scored for Croatia, which dragged the match to penalties. The PSG forward’s goal in the match equalled him with Pele as Brazil’s all-time highest goalscorer. However, he will have to wait in order to cross the three-time World Cup winner.

In the 2018 World Cup, the five-time winners of the tournament were defeated by Belgium in the quarterfinals. It remains to be seen whether they manage to battle their nerves and deliver for their countrymen and fans around the world.
