The referee for the Los Angeles Lakers vs Oklahoma City Thunder game – Suyash Mehta – was trolled on social media for his alleged biased calls in favour of LeBron James and co. The two sides locked horns at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
“Bruh I seen Jalen Williams not get blatant calls that Westbrook got. He wasn’t even fouled. The refs really trying to make LA win lol,” a Twitter user said.
“Refs crabbing again that’s a clear jump ball,” another one added.
“Refs man. Handful of questionable calls all night tbh,” a third one tweeted.
“Ah hell nah.. these referees giving LeBron every single call tonight 😂😂😂.. they clearly want him to break this record tonight,” a fourth one said on Twitter.

OKC beat the Lakers 133-130. James surpassed Abdul-Jabbar’s NBA all-time scoring record in the third quarter. The game was stopped and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver declared the 38-year-old as the official holder of the record.
LeBron James was emotional. His mother, wife, children and several friends watched from courtside. Rapper Jay Z and Shannon Sharpe were amongst the many celebrities at the game. The Lakers star, who needed to score 36 points to break the record set in 1984, made 20 in the first half and then 16 in the third quarter. He finished the game with 38 points.
“I just want to say thank you to the Laker faithful,” James said. “You guys are one of a kind. To be able to be in the presence of such a legend as great as Kareem, it’s very humbling.”
However, Oklahoma made sure, LeBron did not get a win. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 30 points and Jalen Williams had 25. The Lakers, except for James, struggled. Anthony Davis managed just 13 points.
With the loss, the Los Angeles Lakers are staring at a potential playoff miss for a second straight season.
