Robert Sarver, the owner of NBA team Phoenix Suns and WNBA team Phoenix Mercury, announced that he will sell both of his NBA clubs. His decision came a week after a one-year suspension due to workplace misconduct and $10 million in fines were levied on the businessman by the NBA.
Robert Sarver is a 60-year-old American businessman who is known to often repeat the n-word in public. His comments about women and his behaviour towards them have also come under the scanner before. He was born in Tuscon Arizona on October 31, 1961.

As a businessman, Sarver is into real estate and he co-founded Southwest Value Partners, a real estate development company, in 1990. His net worth is believed to be $800 million.
Sarver has made his money from banking, before venturing into Real Estate. He founded the National Bank of Tucson in his hometown and then expanded it to cover all of Arizona. The name of the bank was also changed to the National Bank of Arizona.
He sold the bank Utah-based Zions Bancorporation, and in 1995 acquired Grossmont Bank in San Diego. He then sold Grossmonth to Zions Bancorporation and founded the real estate development company.

He purchased Phoenix Suns in 2004 for $401 million. In a not so advertised affair, the WNBA team Phoenix Mercury was also part of the deal. Sarver also owns the La-Liga team RCD Mallorca, which he bought in January 2016.
He is married to Penny Sanders since 1996. The couple has three children, Jake Sarver, Zach Sarver, and Max Sarver. The eldest of them is Max, who is 24 years old.
In the statement to sell Mercury and Suns, Sarver said in a statement that he has already initiated the process.
