Zealand in a three match T20 International series. Rohit Sharma’s side
established total dominance by winning all three matches which were played on
Indian soil. The newly appointed skipper played high scoring knocks in the first
and third encounter which made life easier for his team.

Along the way, Rohit Sharma broke his
compatriot Virat Kohli’s record of being the man with most 50 plus scores.

Rohit tops the list with 30 scores over
fifty and is followed by Virat Kohli who has 29 half centuries to his name. The
Men in Blue are joined by Pakistani skipper Babar Azam who takes the third spot.
Australian opener David Warner and New Zealand’s Martin Guptill who are tied on
list with 22 fifty plus scores complete the top 5.

India’s T20 captain was handed the ‘Player
of the Series’ award after match winning performances against the Kiwis. The
skipper chose to test India’s ability of batting first having already won the
series and he led from the front by scoring 56 runs in 31 balls. He set the stage
for his side to register a big total on the board.

Rohit had added 159 runs to his tally at
the end of the three match series. Two of the skipper’s 26 half centuries were
scored in the series against New Zealand. Taking his 4 centuries into
consideration, he has 30 fifty plus scores in T20 Internationals.

This isn’t the only record that Sharma
broke. His 3 sixes in the final T20 International of the series made him the
batter with most sixes against the Kiwis, his tally has reached 27. He also
became the second batter to score 150 sixes in T20 Internationals (the first
one being Martin Guptill).

Sharma has hit 50 sixes as the captain of
the side in T20Is and he achieved the milestone in just 533 balls, the quickest
any captain has ever done so.
