India’s star opener Rohit Sharma hopped on to the ongoing
trend on Instagram reels. In the short video the right-handed batsman is
seen giving us a glimpse of India’s special jersey for the ICC World T20. The shirt had Rohit and the big-hitter’s popular jersey number ‘45’
printed on the back.

Rohit captioned the clip, “Jumping into my INDIA BLUE”. You

The post became viral instantly and has already garnered
over 1,700,000 likes in just over 24 hrs since it was uploaded.

Popular cricketers were quick to comment on the post with David
Warner accusing Sharma of copying his Tiktok. Warner commented, “You copying my Tiktok ???”

While Kuldeep Yadav found the video to be cute as he
commented, “Very cute ♥️?”

Mumbai Indians, the IPL franchise Rohit captains joined the
party and commented, ” Jumping
into the #T20WorldCup mood like ??”

While thousands of fans sent their well wishes to the Indian
opener and asked him to get the T20 World Cup trophy home.

Rohit is a guaranteed starter in India’s playing XI however, he did not participate in the side’s first warm-up fixture against England in Dubai.

The decision was taken by the management to allow Rohit some much needed rest before the jam-packed schedule begins and also to give some game time to the likes of Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul.

The youngsters grabbed the opportunity with both hands as they put in brilliant individual performances and ensured that Sharma’s absence is not felt.

India’s campaign for the trophy will begin on October 24 with
their opening fixture to be played against arch rivals Pakistan.

The match will
be played at the Dubai International Stadium and India will be hoping to start
their journey on the right foot by registering a win in their first match.
