Cooper Rush threw three interceptions in Dallas Cowboys’ 26-17 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday. The quarterback struggled throughout the game and the team would want to get their starting quarterback, Dak Prescott, back on the field, leading the offense.

Prescott injured his thumb during his team’s Week 1 clash against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The star QB trained this week but was ruled out of the Eagles game. His backup, Cooper Rush, started for the fifth time this season.

Coming into Week 6, Rush managed to win all four games he started this season. The 28-year-old had a 5-0 record as a starter. He had not thrown any interceptions in four straight games.

However, his mistakes against the Eagles cost Dallas Cowboys a key first half and eventually the game.

The first two of Cooper Rush’s interceptions put Dallas behind 0-20. The team clawed their way back to 17-20. An Eagles touchdown followed by another Rush INT effectively sealed the game.

The Cowboys had a late shot at winning due to a botched snap but Eagles center Jason Kelce was quick to pounce on the ball and retain possession, preventing the turnover. Cooper Rush and co were forced to try to bring the ball back from their own 12-yard after the punt. They had to score twice to win the game. However, kicker Brett Maher Dallas missed a 58-yard attempt and Dallas lost 26-17.
