Russell Wilson responded to all the criticism he received over the first five weeks by recording his two best plays of the season thus far. The Denver Broncos quarterback connected with Jerry Jeudy and Greg Dulcich for the first touchdown of the game against the Los Angeles Chargers at the SoFi Stadium.

Russell completed all 10 of his attempted passes for 116 yards and one touchdown in the first quarter on Sunday.

Early in the game, Wilson was sacked in the backfield for a loss of 4 after Mack got to the QB. Broncos scored a field goal from 51 yards.

Denver started their next drive from 16. Russell Wilson was almost taken down in the backfield but escaped the pocket to find wide receiver Jerry Jeudy down the field for a 37-yard catch and run.

After the big play to Jeudy, the Broncos quarterback found Greg Dulcich, who was making his NFL debut, wide open. The tight end ran into the endzone with ease on a 39-yard TD reception.

Midway through the second quarter, Los Angeles Chargers scored their first points – a touchdown. Austin Ekeler from six yards out, dragged the pile into the end zone.

Wilson was 21 for 39 for 274 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions in the game against Indianapolis Colts last week. Spectators booed the 33-year-old throughout the game, and social media users trolled him for his flop show.

He was also booed on his Denver debut and at the NFL opener in Seattle.

“the Broncos paid $245,000,000 to Russell Wilson & then a rich conglomerate paid $4,650,000,000 to own the Broncos and then a richer man is paying $11,000,000,000 to broadcast them on TV for the next 11 years and all the rest of us watching this game are complicit,” a Twitter user had said.
